Farm Butchery

Our farm butchery open Fridays 9am to 1pm.

 

For the past 30 years we have farmed our land.  Our farm butchery opens every Friday from 9am to 1pm for home produced and local meat and eggs.

Free range chicken from the farm is a speciality.  Large, succulent free range birds, whole and jointed, that cook and taste like chicken used to, and free range eggs with superb rich coloured yolks from our laying hens.

Fresh sausage is also offered each week together with a good selection of fresh and frozen lamb, beef, pork and venison.

We are a ‘down to earth’ and ‘back to basics’ farm and we pride ourselves on high quality meat. For farmer Mark it is a lifestyle as well as a business – “because it is in my blood. I am addicted to my animals, the sounds of the millstream, the song birds and the smell of the land.”

For many years we ran a farm shop here at Talton until 2017 when we decided to close it and to diversify into a rustic events venue instead. As a result, our knowledge of local food suppliers is second to none. Whatever you are after we should know where to source it!
