OUR SUSSEX BEEF HAVE ARRIVED OUR HENS ARE LAYING & WE ARE COOKING UP A FEAST IN THE CAFE IN THE MILL WOODHOUSE
Welcome to a Talton Mill butchery weekly update. Our ‘Friday/Saturday only’ trading in the butchery is proving to be a great success. Thank you all for your support. We now have the first of our Sussex beef in. This is an old English traditional breed which is becomi;g popular again with the consumer interest in slow-growing, grass fed beef. Our new pullets have finally started to lay well so there will be plenty of our own free range eggs for the weekend. Lisa is making more ready meals for the freezer this week – a good chance to stock up.
The Mill Woodhouse Cafe
Our Cafe in The Mill Woodhouse is proving very popular once again. Liz and Fran have been busy cooking up this week’s special which is chicken with rosemary and tomatoes served with salads and crusty bread. This week’s warm salad is roasted sweet potato and lentil – perfect for a chilly autumn day. Our homemade soups this week are real winter warmers too … roasted butternut and mushroom & butterbean. As a little nod to the forthcoming festivities we have yummy, gooey, Christmas pudding brownies on the menu. Pop in for a chat, breakfast or brunch, lunch – or just a coffee and a cake!
Talton Mill Supper Club – for field to fork foodies! We have had a lot of interest in the Club which is wonderful. Follow this link to register for free http://www.taltonmill.co.
Take a look at what we have in store for you and book early to avoid disappointment!
