Spring is well and truly here. All the cattle are out on grass, our swallows are back – the farmer once again has a spring in his step.

There will be a little Asparagus to cut on Friday and Saturday available on a ‘first come’ basis. The mini heatwave of last week proved to be a false start as today has been cold and wet again. Our asparagus features in our next Supper Club event in The Mill Woodhouse too – on Friday 18th May at 7pm. There will be plenty of our own free range pork this weekend. Local new season lamb will also be available. We are coming to the end of the current batch of chickens which means they will be large for the next couple of weeks but end up been good value for money. We have finally created a homemade burger free of preservative and salt – just simple seasoning. They will be available every Friday and Saturday fresh and frozen from this week.

Also we are keen to offer boxes of our home reared free range meat for your freezer, or to share with family or friends. These will be discounted at 15% off retail price for orders over £100, packed, labelled and ready for you to collect. Orders need to be taken with a weeks notice. Contents of the box can be bespoke, though some cuts will be subject to availability.

The Mill Woodhouse Cafe

Fridays and Saturdays see our artisan cafe in The Mill Woodhouse buzzing with people enjoying a hearty Talton breakfast, brunch, lunch or homemade cake and drinks. The chairs and tables are now all out under the canopy enabling customers to sit alongside the mill stream and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Talton Mill.

Talton Mill Supper Club – for field to fork foodies!

Our monthly Supper Club is proving very popular. All the events so far have sold out and it is wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves. Our aim is to celebrate what we produce here on the farm and to share that with you on the 3rd Friday of every month with our supper nights showcasing our home reared and home cooked produce in a variety of different ways.
